Meeting requests

Approving sends a Google Calendar invitation. For alternative times, approving one closes the other options.

Calendar settings

Calendar visibility

Choose each calendar independently. Public includes a calendar on the website; orBit includes it in your private Events tab. Choose Busy to hide event names or Event title to publish them. Events marked private keep their names hidden. All-day events never block booking, on any calendar. Event title labels include the calendar name. Calendar colors apply in orBit and on the public website; individual events can override them in Events.

Add calendars by ID

Booking requests are also checked against the destination calendar to prevent double bookings, even when that calendar is not public.

Google setup

  1. Enable the Google Calendar API in your Google Cloud project.
  2. Configure the consent screen. If the app is in testing, add your Google account as a test user.
  3. Create a Web application OAuth client with this redirect URI:
  1. Save the credentials here, then select Authorize and allow the requested calendar permissions.
  2. Test the connection. Select this account in each system’s settings.

No separate OAuth client is needed for the public calendar or future systems using this account.

Authorization notes

Testing-mode Google authorizations may expire after seven days. Publish the consent configuration for ongoing use; Google may require verification.

Disconnecting affects every system using this account. Existing Google events remain. To revoke the grant itself, remove the app in your Google Account.
